Hi there.

This blog is no longer active. The best place to catch me now is www.samuelmae.info. Hope to see you there soon!

Website is alive

*cue maniacal laughter and partial hand clenching*

Yes: www.samuelmae.info is alive. Mostly. Just need to get the contact page sorted out, but other than that, it’s a-go.

I’ve integrated both of these blogs into the website. Partially integrated. The new blogs are brand new, and i’ve sent over a couple or three posts from each of these ones to give them some meat to start off with.

So, from now on i won’t be posting on these pretty shores, but on the newly discovered asteroid belt that is www.samuelmae.info.

See y’all there!

Website in progress

Finally, after having talked about it to myself for eons, i have begun to build myself a website.

It’s not up yet, but will be soon, and once it is this blog and my other one (samuelcmae.wordpress.com) will be redirected to appropriate pages on the site (or if not redirected then large links to the site will be left on the main pages).

The site is: www.samuelmae.info (the .info domain name was on sale).

Basement Stories…

May 6, 2010 - 2 Responses

…have bought my poem Dust Particles for their inaugural issue, coming out in July. That is very cool.

Basement Stories, as you can probably gather from my above statement, is a shiny new semi-pro spec-fic mag. I don’t know much more about them than that (and the fact they’ve bought a poem of mine — did i mention that already?) but i hope they do well. The speculative fiction short story market needs as many markets paying semi-pro and higher as possible.

*spins off happily into the ethers*

It’s been a while since i’ve had anything to announce. But now i do, so here i am.

The results for the 2009 SFReader Story Contest have been released and i managed a podium finish. Second place, to be precise, with my story Dry Ice.

The whole announcement is here. The story will be available on their website soon and a linky’ll be posted when it is.

I lurves official announcements

Yep, thread title says it all, even though what i’m referring to may not quite qualify as an official announcement. But it’s still kewl!

John Klima of the award-winning Electric Velocipede has blogged about some of the stories EV has acquired during this submission period (yeah, i know that’s a long hyperlink, but that way nobody can miss it, right?).

And there, in the exact middle of the list–yes, i counted the rows–is lil ole me. Rather exciting, really. And some of those other titles (both poetry and fiction) look very intriguing.

Very exciting news. Electric Velocipede has bought a story of mine entitled Pistols at Dawn Amongst the Evergreens. It’s slated to appear in an issue next year.

Now to update my bibliography…

Poetry sale

Had a poem accepted for The Terror Of Miskatonic Falls Anthology today. Not sure on the release date yet, but at this stage I’m thinking it’ll be sometime early next year. The title of the poem is mama sooner.
